For many, starting CrossFit may be intimidating; there is a lot of strange and unfamiliar stuff like weird acronyms, strange names for workouts, white boards with people’s names and times and more acronyms! What can make it worse is the flurry of unfiltered information on the internet about CrossFit. CrossFit Virtue would like to dispel all intimidation and any misconceptions you may have about CrossFit.

Our Fundamentals course will introduce people to the fundamental movements and concepts of CrossFit. Through these classes, you will gain exposure and develop the skills needed to create a solid foundation that will ensure your success at becoming fit. In addition, the Fundamentals course will give us an opportunity to assess your fitness level and address any mobility issues/restrictions due to injury or other health reasons. The ultimate purpose of the Fundamentals classes is to educate you for your safety and finally to enter into a group class setting with confidence.

Completion of Fundamentals is required for all individuals prior to joining regular CrossFit classes. Exceptions apply to those who have completed an equivalent Fundamentals course at another CrossFit affiliate. Evaluation of an individual’s knowledge of CrossFit may be performed prior to the inclusion of a group class. This is for the individual’s safety.
